When you receive your latex garment, it will look dull. Here you will find some tips on how to wear and care for your garment so that it lasts over time.

HOW TO WEAR YOUR LATEX?

Before wearing your latex, apply talcum powder or specific silicone-based products, such as our beGLOSS products, both to your body and to the inside of the garment.

Once worn, remove any talcum powder residue or other products from the outside of your latex garment.

POLISHING

Some people prefer a matt effect;

however, if you want to get the maximum shine out of your latex garment, you can use our beGloss shines.

AFTER WEARING

Correct care of your latex clothing is very important.

Here are some things you should keep in mind:

  • Metal elements may cause stains.
  • Oils, grease-based products and solvents can damage your latex.
  • Long-term exposure to direct sunlight can discolour your latex.
  • Water and high humidity may damage it in the long term.
  • For smokers, nicotine can cause stains, especially on white, transparent and light colours.

Of course, some of these things you can't avoid, but you can keep your latex clean after wearing it.

For best results you can use our beGloss Special Wash Latex:

Put a little product in water of max. 30° C and soak your latex garment for a few minutes. After rinsing, let it dry properly, giving it enough time, out of direct sunlight. If your latex garment has metal parts (buttons, buckles, studs) dry them immediately with a cloth.If your latex garment has pockets, you can insert blotting paper or small pieces of cotton fabric inside them.

RETAIN YOUR LATEX

Once your garment is dry all over:

Sprinkle your garment with specific talcum powder, a little is enough. This helps keep it dry and ensures that the surfaces do not stick together.

Store it hanging in a dark case in a dry place.

If folded, use tissue paper between the folds. This prevents the folds from leaving marks that could cause micro-holes in the long term.
